Digitalization of the hospitality sector is progressing: luca expands into the hotel industry with HR Group as a strategic partner
Berlin, December 19, 2023. The multi-brand hotel operating company HR Group (HRG), one of the largest hotel operators in Central Europe, is joining luca as a strategic partner. From January 2024, features such as payment, ordering food and drinks, and digital check-in and check-out via the app will be gradually introduced. The portfolio includes properties from well-known hotel groups, including Accor, IHG, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Radisson and Deutsche Hospitality.
After successfully moving into the restaurant industry, luca is thus expanding its presence in the hotel industry. luca's long-term goal: A platform and a uniform user profile for guests across the hospitality sector — from restaurants to events to the hotel industry. So far, luca has focused primarily on digitizing the customer journey in restaurants. From now on, time-consuming processes in hotels, such as payment in the hotel bar or check-in, will also be digitized — the time-consuming recording of personal data on site is no longer necessary. This gives service staff more time to interact with the guest. Guests, in turn, benefit from more personalized service. At the same time, annoying waiting times in the reception and restaurant areas are eliminated.
