The Starting Point
After a seven-year break, Käfer returned as the exclusive food and beverage partner of the Bavarian State Opera. As part of its digital transformation strategy, the opera wanted to offer guests the ability to pre-order food and drinks for before the show and during intermission.
“A visit to the National Theatre in Munich is always a special occasion. We want our guests to be fully immersed in the performance and the atmosphere. Käfer adds to that experience with its culinary offerings, and our digital project with luca and SAP ensures a smooth, modern opera evening. How luca Is Used at the Opera
Since the start of the 2023 season in September, guests at the Bavarian State Opera have been able to pre-order food and drinks via luca. A simple link takes them to a web app in the State Opera’s own design, guiding them step by step through the process. Guests choose a time and pickup point, complete their order and enjoy a seamless experience.
